Managing Director | Fintech Cape TownThis is a Managing Director role for someone who knows how to make a business work better commercially, operationally, and technologically.The mandate is broad: drive performance, simplify complexity, strengthen execution, and build a more scalable organisation.This is a high-impact leadership role with significant autonomy and direct access to the executive team. It will suit a leader who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, interrogating financial performance, improving workflows, and using technology to unlock better business outcomes.Key Focus Areas:Lead the overall business and translate strategy into clear priorities, disciplined execution, and measurable results.Drive sustainable growth and profitability through strong commercial and operational leadership.Improve processes, systems, controls, and performance management to create a more efficient and scalable organisation.Take overall responsibility for financial performance, financial management and control across the business.Identify opportunities to strengthen client engagement, improve customer retention and support new business growth.Lead strategic change and organisational transformation, continually challenging how the business can operate more effectively.Champion technology, automation, and digital innovation to improve efficiency, customer experience and product delivery.Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance.What we’re looking for:CA(SA), BCom Honours or a relevant financial qualification.At least 8 years’ experience within financial services, fintech, lending, digital automation or a related environment.A successful track record of leading a business, autonomous business unit or entrepreneurial/mid-sized organisation.Strong commercial and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to improve performance and drive profitable growth.Proven experience leading strategic change and organisational transformation.Strong appreciation for technology, with the ability to identify and implement digital opportunities that improve business performance.You’ll thrive in this role if you are:Commercially minded and highly analytical.Strategic, but comfortable getting close to the detail.Naturally curious and focused on continuous improvement.Highly organised, disciplined and process driven.Energised by technology, innovation, and transformation.Confident in taking ownership and leading through change.A strong communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.If you are a commercially driven leader who enjoys bringing together finance, operations, growth, and technology to solve complex business challenges, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
