Managing Director – Diagnostics | Chicago | Confidential SearchI'm supporting a leading engineering consultancy in the search for a Managing Director to lead and grow its Diagnostics practice in Chicago.This is a rare opportunity for an experienced leader with a background in forensic engineering, structural restoration, building diagnostics, or building enclosure consulting to take ownership of an established practice while driving its next phase of growth.The successful candidate will provide technical and commercial leadership, oversee complex diagnostic and restoration projects, develop key client relationships, and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team. You'll also play a key role in shaping strategy, mentoring future leaders, and expanding the firm's presence across the Midwest.We're looking to speak with professionals who have:

• 12+ years' experience in forensic engineering, diagnostics, structural restoration, or building enclosure consulting
• A PE, SE, or RA licence (or the ability to obtain one)
• A proven track record in business development and client relationship management
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering complex consulting projects
