Managing Director

ENSEA FZCO is a Dubai-based engineering and project services company. On behalf of a UAE-based oil and gas contracting company, we are hiring a Managing Director to build and lead the business.The RoleThe company is at the start of its commercial development and does not yet have an established book of business. Your primary task is to build it: define target markets and clients, develop the pipeline of opportunities, win the first contracts and grow them into a sustainable, profitable oil and gas contracting and services business, reporting to the Board of Directors.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild the business from the ground up: define target markets, services, clients, and the plan to enter themGenerate and qualify opportunities, build the tender and sales pipeline, and win the first contractsDevelop relationships with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, and other key clients across the UAE and the regionTake go / no-go decisions on tenders; approve pricing and commercial terms within approved limitsIdentify and close capability gaps: certificates, pre-qualifications, partnerships, and subcontractor relationshipsDevelop the corporate strategy and annual business plan; report to the Board monthly on pipeline, performance, and risksOversee project execution, service quality, and operational KPIsOwn revenue growth and the profitability of contracts won; deliver the business plan within the approved budgetAct as the company's licensed manager and authorised signatory; represent it before UAE authorities (licensing authority, MOHRE, ICP)Establish and maintain the quality and HSE management system; promote a safety cultureBuild the team: propose the organisational structure, recruit and lead department heads and staffRequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred), Business Administration, or a related disciplineMinimum 12-15 years in oil and gas services, contracting, or EPC, including at least 5 years in senior managementProven track record of building a business: winning new clients and contracts with oil and gas operators and EPC contractors in the UAE or the wider regionEstablished network of client contacts in the regional oil and gas marketWorking knowledge of the UAE regulatory environment for company licensing and labour lawCurrently resident in the UAE (mandatory), able to transfer visa sponsorship and act as the company's licensed manager and authorised signatoryEntrepreneurial and hands-on, comfortable working in a lean, early-stage organisationFluent English, written and spoken; Arabic is an advantageWe OfferCompetitive executive package, commensurate with experience and performanceFull details of the company and terms will be shared with shortlisted candidates
