We have the capability build to Zone 4 security standards (PSPF/ISM) and can align with US SCIF and AUKUS requirements.Together with our design-and-construct business Oper8 Global and our ICT consultancy Strategic Directions, we offer a fully integrated platform, from 10kW edge deployments to hyperscale AI campuses of 300MW or more. Our track record spans more than 15 years, with clients including CSIRO, Telstra, CUSCAL and federal government agencies.We are now entering our next phase of growth. Our first company-owned data centres are under development in Sydney, Tasmania and Queensland, alongside a substantial third-party development pipeline in Australia and Asia-Pacific.The roleReporting to the Board, you will lead the group’s data centre business and drive the transition from development to an operating, revenue-generating platform. You will set strategy, lead a senior team of specialists, and own execution across our own portfolio and client data centre builds, alongside our managed, cybersecurity and professional services businesses. Key responsibilitiesLead the delivery of the group’s owned data centres from development through to commissioning and operationSecure end use clients for the owned data centres Grow and convert the third-party development pipeline across defence, sovereign compute and critical infrastructure clientsBuild relationships with hyperscalers, AI platforms, neoclouds, government, defence primes and enterprise end usersWork with the Board and CFO on capital raising, project finance and investor engagementOversee commercial negotiations for sites, power, tenants and key suppliersLead, retain and develop a high-calibre executive team across Viridis, Oper8 Global and Strategic DirectionsMaintain the group’s security, compliance and accreditation standardsAbout youSenior executive leadership in data centres, digital infrastructure, energy or critical infrastructure; P&L ownership at MD, CEO or GM levelA track record of taking infrastructure projects from development through financing, construction and operationStrong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience in leases, offtake and project finance structuresEstablished networks across hyperscale, government, defence or institutional investorsAbility to work in a fast-growing business and to lead through changeExperience with secure or defence-grade environments, renewable energy integration or Asia-Pacific markets is highly regardedEligibility for an Australian Government security clearance would be an advantageWhat we offerThe chance to lead a platform at the intersection of AI, sovereign security and clean energyAn executive remuneration package A Brisbane base, with travel to sites in NSW, TAS, QLD and the regionTo applyApply via LinkedIn or send your CV and a short cover note to will@newenergyopportunities.com .
