Team members are encouraged to develop professionally while contributing to efficient communication and smooth cross-border operations.Role Description The Mandarin Translator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Metro Manila. The translator will be responsible for translating written and spoken materials between Mandarin and English, including business documents, emails, reports, presentations, and internal communications. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness of translations, supporting meetings by providing real-time or consecutive interpretation when needed, and clarifying meaning or terminology with relevant teams. The role also involves collaborating with local and overseas colleagues, maintaining translation glossaries and style consistency, and assisting with communication tasks that enable effective coordination between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and the Philippine Branch. The translator is expected to work closely with managers and project teams to meet deadlines and uphold confidentiality and professional standards.Qualifications Strong proficiency in Mandarin and English, with excellent reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities.Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a business or technology-related environment.Ability to produce accurate, clear, and culturally sensitive translations within agreed timelines.Solid understanding of professional communication etiquette and confidentiality requirements.Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Comfort working on-site in Metro Manila and collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams.Proficiency with common office software and online communication tools; familiarity with translation tools is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.Previous experience working with Mandarin-speaking clients, partners, or colleagues is preferred.Adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving language and communication issues.
