Position: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: OhioShift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (12-hour shifts) | 2nd Shift  6pm to 6am   (12-hour shifts)Duration: 12 MonthsOpenings: 4 1st Shift and 4 2nd ShiftInterview: TodayJob Summary:The technician will provide hands-on, on-the-floor technical support for packaging, inspection, and serialization equipment within Inspection and Secondary/Tertiary Packaging areas. The role focuses heavily on equipment repair, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and rapid response to mechanical and electrical issues in a regulated manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of packaging and inspection equipment.Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.Diagnose equipment failures and perform root-cause troubleshooting at the equipment level.Support equipment adjustments, changeovers, upgrades, and minor modifications.Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection and serialization equipment, including cameras, sensors, printers, and scanners.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled packaging equipment, including responding to faults, alarms, resets, and recovery activities.Perform maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, FDA, and site SOPs.Document repairs, maintenance activities, and corrective actions accurately.Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain continuous operations.Respond to equipment issues in real time to support production uptime and product quality.Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on Maintenance Technician experience in manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated environments.Experience troubleshooting packaging equipment such as cartoners, labelers, conveyors, printers, and vision systems.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, serialization systems, and vision inspection systems such as Cognex or Systech.Experience with preventive maintenance, line support, and equipment breakdown response.Familiarity with GMP/FDA-regulated environments.Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.Strong documentation and communication skills with working knowledge of MS Office.Interested candidates can send their updated resume to:Email: jayaprakash.d@ndgcs.com mdrecruiters@ndgcs.com
