Manufacturing Engineer

HCR Permanent Search is working with a leading automotive manufacturer in Newmarket, Ontario. They are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to support production, continuous improvement, new program launches, and process optimization. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem solving, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and driving operational improvements in a fast-paced environment.Work Setting: On SiteShift Schedule: DaysLocation Details: Newmarket, ON Required Skills:Manufacturing engineering experience within high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience improving production processes, reducing scrap, and increasing efficiency.Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, FMEA, DOE, and related quality systems.Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.Tool and Die making, stamping, welding, metal fabrication experience.Computer skills in AutoCad, Solid Works, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project.Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree/Diploma, or applicable trade certification.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and provide technical support to production operations.Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, efficiency, and scrap reduction.Support new product launches, engineering changes, process development, and equipment implementation.Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFMEAs, work instructions, process flow charts, and control plans.Conduct process studies, capacity analysis, and manufacturing optimization initiatives.Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, suppliers, and project teams to achieve operational goals.
