We help businesses hire the right talent and improve workforce performance..Role DescriptionThe Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and executing activities across Packaging, Maintenance, and Projects. The role ensures that robust systems, procedures, and processes are in place to maintain product quality, minimize non-conformances and safety risks, and deliver the production plan in line with forecasts and operational demand.ResponsibilitiesEnsure packaging operations consistently meet established standards for productivity, quality, and safety.Monitor and control production wastage and drive actions to reduce losses.Lead the S&OP process with Sales and prepare weekly and monthly production plans aligned with demand forecasts.Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials in line with the production plan.Coordinate with the Export team for country-wise production planning and dispatch requirements.Plan, coordinate, and monitor technical and administrative activities across the plant in collaboration with all departments.Conduct breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate or minimize recurring equipment failures.Maintain GMP standards in Packaging and foster a healthy, safe, and positive working environment across the plant.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Manage the maintenance of packaging, process, and utility equipment.Ensure effective preventive maintenance of all machines and strengthen asset-care practices.Prepare departmental budgets and manage operations within approved budgetary limits.Prepare MIS reports and conduct periodic performance reviews with the Plant Head and senior leadership.Ensure the safety of employees working in Packaging and Maintenance and drive proper implementation of the OHSM system.Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure availability of raw materials and critical spares, and support new product development activities where applicable.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.Build the technical capability of team members and develop a production team capable of meeting current and future business demands.Qualification & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.Minimum 8 years of experience in Manufacturing and Operations, including at least 3 years of experience in the beverage industry.
