Capital Projects Manager - Manufacturing Operations & EngineeringBishop & Company is recruiting on behalf of a confidential Hawaii-based manufacturer seeking a Capital Projects Manager to lead manufacturing engineering initiatives, production improvements, and capital projects across multiple processing and production facilities.This is an opportunity for a manufacturing-focused engineering professional who enjoys improving plant performance, optimizing production systems, implementing automation, and delivering complex capital projects from concept through startup.You'll spend time working directly with plant teams, evaluating equipment performance, supporting manufacturing operations, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions that improve production capacity and operational efficiency.You'll have the opportunity to:Lead multimillion-dollar manufacturing and facility improvement projectsDrive automation and technology upgradesImprove production flow and equipment utilizationPartner directly with plant leadership on strategic initiativesInfluence the future direction of manufacturing operationsOwn projects from concept through commissioning and startupKey ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Engineering & OperationsEvaluate manufacturing processes and production flow to identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunitiesPartner with Operations and Maintenance teams to improve throughput, reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment performanceSupport automation initiatives and equipment modernization effortsAnalyze production systems and recommend engineering solutions that enhance operational performanceAssist with implementation of continuous improvement and process optimization initiativesCapital Projects LeadershipManage a portfolio of capital projectsLead projects from concept development and business justification through installation and commissioningDevelop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical requirementsTrack project performance, costs, and milestonesEnsure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budgetEquipment, Vendors & TechnologyManage relationships with OEMs, contractors, fabricators, and engineering vendorsSupport equipment selection, installation, startup, and performance validationLead vendor coordination and hold project partners accountable to project deliverablesEvaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities that support manufacturing objectivesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline5+ years of experience leading capital projects within manufacturing, production, processing, packaging, or industrial operationsExperience managing projects from concept through commissioningStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and equipment integrationExperience working with contractors, OEMs, and equipment vendorsDemonstrated success managing project budgets and schedulesPreferredFood, beverage, agricultural processing, packaging, consumer products, or high-speed manufacturing experienceExperience with automation, controls, PLCs, or integrated production systemsLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experienceExperience supporting facility, utility, or processing equipment upgradesPMP or other project management certificationsCompensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135,000 - $160,000 annually.
