This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementing industrial automation solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking projects from concept through commissioning and wants to make a visible impact across multiple manufacturing sites.Please Note: This is an industrial manufacturing automation role focused on physical equipment and robotics.
What You'll Do
Lead automation projects from concept development through production stabilizationEvaluate and select robotics, automation, and machine control technologiesDevelop system requirements, technical specifications, and performance criteriaManage automation integrators, equipment suppliers, and contractorsProgram and commission industrial robotic systemsSupport PLC integration, controls validation, HMI configuration, and troubleshootingLead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Provide hands-on support during installation, startup, commissioning, and ramp-upTroubleshoot robotic, electrical, mechanical, controls, and vision systemsIdentify opportunities to improve safety, throughput, quality, and labor efficiencyWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Robotics, or related field)5+ years of experience implementing industrial automation and robotic systems in manufacturing environmentsHands-on experience programming and commissioning industrial robotsExperience leading capital equipment or automation projectsStrong troubleshooting skills across robotic, electrical, mechanical, and controls systemsExperience working with automation integrators and machine buildersTechnical ExpertiseIndustrial Robots: FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, Universal Robots, or similarRobot programming, optimization, and commissioningPLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, etc.)HMI development and controls integrationMachine vision systemsMotion control and servo systemsEnd-of-arm tooling integrationIndustrial electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsMachine safety, safeguarding, FAT/SAT, and commissioningPreferred ExperienceCNC machine tending and manufacturing automationMetal fabrication, machining, forging, or heavy manufacturingAutomated assembly, material handling, and robotics integrationLean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and Continuous ImprovementTravelThis role requires up to two weeks per month of travel to support installation, commissioning, and startup activities at manufacturing sites. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.
