Flag, shipyards, and senior management.Description of Function:The Marine Assurance Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating all marine assurance activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality assurance services across all projects and operations. Acting as the primary interface for Marine Assurance, the role will represent the company with the Saudi Aramco Rig Move Office and other key client stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships with project, operations, and marine teams.The role will provide leadership and oversight to the Marine Assurance team, ensuring inspections, audits, and assurance activities are planned, executed, and reported to the highest standards, while driving consistency, quality, and compliance with client and company requirements. The Marine Assurance Lead will also support the team by undertaking ad hoc vessel inspections and assurance activities as operational demands require, while promoting continuous improvement and maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.Main Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate all Marine Assurance activities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Act as the primary focal point for Marine Assurance with the Saudi Aramco Rig Move Office and other key client stakeholders.Build and maintain strong working relationships with client, project, operations, and vessel management teams.Lead, mentor, and develop the Marine Assurance team to ensure high performance and professional development.Ensure vessel inspections, audits, and assurance activities are planned, conducted, and reported in accordance with company and client requirements.Maintain the quality, consistency, and technical standard of all inspections completed by the Marine Assurance team.Undertake ad hoc vessel inspections, audits, and assurance activities to support operational requirements when required.Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements, international maritime regulations, and company assurance standards.Review inspection findings, monitor corrective actions, and ensure timely close out of identified issues.Support vessel acceptance, mobilization, and contractor assurance activities across all projects.Monitor team performance, KPIs, and assurance deliverables, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Provide technical marine assurance advice and support to project and operational teams.Prepare and present assurance reports, trends, and performance updates to senior management and clients.Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all assurance activities are conducted to the highest professional and ethical standards.Authority:The Marine Assurance Lead reports functionally to the Asset & Assurance Department based in the UAE and works closely with the KSA Operations Manager to support local operational requirements. The role has the authority to coordinate all Marine Assurance activities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, prioritize and allocate assurance resources, represent the company at the Saudi Aramco Rig Move Office and other client meetings, and liaise directly with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of marine assurance services in accordance with company and client requirements.Accountability:The Marine Assurance Lead is accountable for the effective coordination and deployment of Marine Assurance resources to support the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of offshore operations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring that all marine assurance activities are conducted in accordance with Saudi Aramco requirements, company procedures, and applicable international maritime regulations, always maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.The Marine Assurance Lead is also accountable for identifying, escalating, and communicating any operational, technical, or compliance issues to the Head of Asset & Assurance or Line Manager in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risk and achieve effective resolution. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving continuous improvement within the Marine Assurance function while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence.Education & Training:STCW Master License in accordance with STCW Regulation II/2BSc (Hons) in Nautical SilenceInternal Auditor Certification for ISM, ISPS, and MLC Management SystemsDesignated Person Ashore (DPA) / Company Security Officer (CSO) Qualification (Desirable)Aramco-Approved Port Captain
