Marine Engineer

Job DescriptionAs a Marine Systems Engineer, you will operate as an independent technical specialist within multidisciplinary project teams, contributing to the successful delivery of complex offshore and marine projects.You will be responsible for developing high-quality, cost-effective marine systems designs for floating production assets. The role focuses on engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle, including conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design phases.Your work will primarily involve floating offshore units such as production, storage, and offloading vessels, as well as other advanced floating energy solutions. Depending on project demands, you may occasionally experience peak workloads.There may also be opportunities for short- or long-term international assignments at project sites, fabrication yards, or engineering offices.Job RequirementsWe are looking for candidates with a BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent professional certification) in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical discipline.You have at least 3 years of experience in marine systems engineering and design, preferably gained during Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design project phases.In addition, you bring:Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the design of marine and/or production systems for floating offshore units (e.g. FPSOs, FSOs, LNG carriers, offshore vessels, or similar assets)Strong understanding of interfaces with other engineering disciplines such as Naval Architecture, Electrical & Instrumentation, Piping, HVAC, Process, and SafetyExperience working with shipyards, offshore operations, or equipment suppliers/manufacturers is considered a plusFamiliarity with LNG systems and/or LNG carrier operations is advantageousUp-to-date knowledge of marine systems, equipment, and technologies, with the ability to balance innovation and commercial considerationsUnderstanding of classification society rules (e.g. ABS, DNV, BV, Lloyd’s Register) and international standardsExperience with safety and risk assessment methodologies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPAKey CompetenciesStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationshipsSound decision-making capabilities, delivering timely and well-considered solutionsProactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to take ownership and handle challenges effectivelyResilience and adaptability in dynamic project environments with changing prioritiesHigh level of motivation, energy, and commitment to quality
