Marine Outboard Mechanic

Role Description The Marine Outboard Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing outboard engines and related marine systems across Elite Pearl Charter’s fleet. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine inspections, performing scheduled servicing, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and completing corrective repairs to ensure vessels operate safely and efficiently. The mechanic will test engines and equipment after repair, maintain accurate maintenance records, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations. The role also involves collaborating with captains, crew, and management to prioritize work orders, support quick turnaround of vessels between charters, and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and parts inventory.QualificationsBackground in maritime environments, or equivalent marine engineering experience, demonstrating disciplined technical skills and familiarity with marine standards.Hands-on experience with boat maintenance and repair, specifically outboard engines, including diagnostics, servicing, and component replacement.Ability to train and guide crew members on basic engine checks, safe operation, and preventive maintenance procedures.Vocational or technical certification in marine mechanics, marine engineering, or related field; manufacturer-specific outboard engine training is an advantage.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site environment.Physical ability to work in confined spaces and on deck in varying weather conditions, following strict safety protocols.Basic English communication skills for reporting, documentation, and coordination with management; additional languages are a plus.
