Marine Pre-Purchase Vessel Inspector

Qualifications- B.E./B.Tech in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture, or- Class I Marine Engineer (Motor)Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel inspections, marine surveying, ship operations, or ship recycling.- Strong technical knowledge of merchant vessels and marine machinery.- Excellent inspection, analytical, and report-writing skills.Job Description- Travel worldwide to conduct pre-purchase inspections of vessels before acquisition.- Carry out detailed inspections of the vessel's structural condition, machinery, equipment, and overall operational status.- Assess the vessel's technical condition, identify deficiencies, and evaluate repair requirements.- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with photographs, observations, and recommendations.- Coordinate with ship owners, brokers, agents, and internal teams throughout the inspection process.- Be available to travel internationally at short notice based on inspection schedules.Requirements- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.- Strong communication and report-writing skills.- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
