Marine Project Engineer

We are looking for a competent Project Engineer – Maritime with solid technical expertise and prior experience as a Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating maritime engineering projects, including shipbuilding, conversion, and newbuilding. This role demands strong project management skills and a deep understanding of marine systems and regulatory frameworks.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the technical execution of new shipbuidling, repair, conversion, and retrofit projects.Supervise dry-docking operations and coordinate with shipyards, contractors, and classification societies.Conduct inspections, analyze vessel conditions, and recommend engineering solutions.Review and prepare technical documentation, including repair specs, drawings, and progress reports.Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL) and class rules.Serve as the main technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams.Support procurement and evaluation of materials and equipment.Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement of engineering processes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering/ Naval Architecture or Mechatronics.Minimum of 2 years of relevant project engineer experience, in shipbuilding, repair, or maintenance.Strong understanding of ship structures, propulsion systems, machinery, and safety systems.Proven ability to manage projects from planning to execution under tight timelines.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and marine engineering software tools.Willingness to travel to project sites, including shipyards and vessels.Able to speak and write in English is a MANDATORY requirement.
