The company values technical excellence, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.Role Description Marine Propulsion Engineers and System Integration Engineers at Metal Matters Pvt Limited design, analyze, and optimize propulsion and generator systems for shipbuilding projects. In this full-time, on-site role based in Visakhapatnam, team members work closely with naval architects and project engineers to develop system layouts, select components, and ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical subsystems. Daily responsibilities include preparing calculations and design drawings, reviewing specifications, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and troubleshooting technical issues during sea trials and operations. The role also involves collaborating with vendors and classification societies, ensuring compliance with relevant marine standards and regulations, and preparing technical documentation and reports for internal and client use.QualificationsKnowledge of marine operations and maritime environments, with familiarity in boat and vessel systems.Experience or exposure to navy or defense-related marine projects, including shipboard systems and operational requirements.Ability to deliver and participate in training related to propulsion, generator systems, and safe marine operations.Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.Understanding of marine propulsion technologies (diesel, electric, hybrid), power generation, and system integration principles.Proficiency with engineering design tools and CAD software, and ability to read and create technical drawings and schematics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and focus on safety and compliance with marine standards.Effective communication and teamwork abilities, and willingness to work on-site in shipyards or onboard vessels in Visakhapatnam.
