Marine Superintendent

Lavinia Tankers, a Lavinia Corp./Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. affiliate company based in the Northern suburbs of Athens that manages a modern tanker fleet, is seeking a Marine Superintendent for its fleet. Job Tasks- Initiate, attend, prepare and respond to vetting and CDI inspections- Ensure compliance with company SMS, international regulations, and industry best practices- Monitoring the ships’ maintenance. Coordinate with the ships’ Masters- Perform Navigation, Mooring, Cargo Audits- Attend onboard as required and on short notice- Review and approve the paints and deck supplies- Support and oversee the deck department in cargo and tank cleaning operations- Support to the company’s safety campaigns, procedures, and lessons learned- Coordinate with the company's departments in fleet maintenance, safety, and manning- Evaluation the onboard personnel during the onboard attendancesQualifications- Captain class A or Chief Officer license and proven sea service on rank onboard Oil and/or Chemical tankers- Minimum of two years of office experience with oil, chemical carriers, and Annex II cargoes, veg oils, and CPP- Deep familiarity of relevant industry regulations ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISGOTT incl. TMSA, SIRE 2.0, and CDI requirements- Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis- Strong knowledge of the tankers’ cargo, mooring machinery/equipment, and navigation equipment- Fully conversant with the tankers’ maintenance- Strong communication and coordination skills with vessels and office departments- The ability to work well under pressure and multitask is essential- Familiarization with PMS systems; experience with DANAOS considered an advantage- Fluency in both spoken and written English and computer literacyPlease apply to: hr@laviniatankers.com, attention Ms. Jenny Christodoulou
