Marine Superintendent – Dry Bulk Fleet

Laskaridis Maritime S.A., managing an expanding fleet of dry-bulk carriers, is seeking a Marine Superintendent to join its Marine Department.The successful candidate will support the safe, efficient and compliant operation of assigned vessels, working closely with Masters and the Company's Technical, Operations, HSQE and Crewing departments.

Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate the marine, navigational and operational performance of assigned dry-bulk vessels.Prepare vessels for and participate in RightShip / RISQ, PSC, Flag State, Class and other third-party inspections and audits, ensuring proper preparation, attendance, and timely close-out of findings.Attend vessels as required to assess their overall marine and operational condition, support shipboard personnel and verify compliance with Company standards.Cooperate closely with other Company departments to ensure effective follow-up of operational, safety, compliance and vessel-performance matters.Candidate RequirementsMinimum 3 years of seagoing experience on dry-bulk vessels, having progressed to Captain Class B or C / senior deck officer level.Minimum 1 year of shore-based experience in a Marine Superintendent, Marine Operations, HSQE or similar role within a ship-management company.Strong practical knowledge of dry-bulk vessel operations, including cargo operations, navigation, port operations and ship/shore interface.Good working knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, MLC, PSC and Flag/Class requirements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Good computer literacy and familiarity with ship-management / fleet-management systems.Ability and willingness to travel internationally for vessel attendances.All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality.
