Our team handles a wide range of vessel, cargo and insurance-related survey assignments, supported by experienced marine professionals and engineers.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Marine Surveyor to join our team in Dubai.The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of marine surveying and loss adjusting assignments, including cargo surveys, vessel inspections, vessel condition surveys, loading and discharge surveys, container inspections, insurance-related surveys, loss assessment and preparation of professional survey reports.This role is suitable for candidates with approximately 1–4 years of relevant experience in marine surveying, cargo surveying, vessel inspection, marine engineering, insurance surveys or loss adjusting.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out cargo surveys and inspections.Attend vessel inspections and vessel condition surveys.Conduct loading and discharge surveys.Carry out container and cargo condition inspections.Attend insurance-related marine and cargo survey assignments.Assist in loss assessment and loss adjusting assignments.Review shipping documents, technical records, repair quotations and supporting documentation.Prepare clear, accurate and professional survey reports.Maintain proper photographic and documentary records of survey findings.Coordinate with vessel owners, operators, insurers, brokers, agents, repairers, warehouses and other concerned parties.Attend vessels, ports, terminals, warehouses and other survey locations as required.Follow applicable safety requirements and professional surveying practices during all assignments.QualificationsPreferably a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Naval Architect or candidate with another relevant engineering qualification.Candidates with experience in cargo surveys, vessel surveys, marine inspections, insurance surveys or loss adjusting will be preferred.Approximately 1–4 years of relevant experience.Basic knowledge of vessel systems, marine operations, cargo handling and survey practices.Good analytical, observation and problem-solving skills.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to prepare clear and structured professional survey reports.Willingness to attend vessels, ports, terminals and other locations as required.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.UAE experience and a valid UAE driving licence would be an advantage.Preferred ExperienceCargo Surveys | Vessel Inspections | Vessel Condition Surveys | Loading & Discharge Surveys | Container Surveys | Insurance Surveys | Loss Adjusting | Marine Engineering | Survey Report Preparation
