Marine professionals joining the team can expect exposure to diverse projects and collaboration with experienced technical experts.Role Description The Marine Surveyor will perform on-site inspections and surveys of vessels and marine structures in Sohar, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, class requirements, and client specifications. This part-time role involves planning and conducting condition surveys, damage assessments, audits, and draft or load line checks, and preparing clear, detailed technical reports. The Marine Surveyor will liaise with owners, class representatives, and insurance stakeholders, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions or improvements. The role also includes supporting underwater inspection activities, reviewing ROV/diver reports, and contributing to fleet support and technical solutions on site.Qualifications Strong skills in Inspection and Marine Survey, including conducting condition assessments and preparing structured survey reports.Knowledge of the Marine Industry and Vessel Operations, with familiarity in shipboard systems, safety practices, and regulatory frameworks.Understanding of Naval Architecture or marine engineering principles relevant to hull structure, stability, and performance evaluations.Ability to interpret class rules, international regulations (e.g., IMO conventions), and insurance or owner requirements.Relevant technical degree or diploma in naval architecture, marine engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.Previous experience as a marine surveyor, marine engineer, or similar maritime technical role is preferred.Proficient in written and spoken English for professional reporting and stakeholder communication; Arabic skills are an advantage.Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work safely and independently in an on-site marine environment in Sohar.
