The faculty member will plan and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions on core maritime subjects, ensuring alignment with relevant academic and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves participating in curriculum development, supporting exam preparation, contributing to internal assessments, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Maritime Faculty will collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives, uphold safety and discipline standards, and engage in continuous professional development to keep course content current with maritime regulations and best practices.Qualifications Strong knowledge of maritime operations, navigation, seamanship, and related regulatory frameworks (e.g., IMO standards, STCW conventions).Experience in classroom teaching, training, or instructional delivery, preferably in maritime or technical education.Ability to design lesson plans, develop course materials, and use appropriate teaching methods for diverse learners.Competence in evaluating student performance, conducting assessments, and providing constructive feedback.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.Commitment to learner-centered education, academic integrity, and safe training practices.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or a closely related field; relevant maritime certifications or sea-going experience are highly beneficial.Comfort with using basic digital tools for teaching, record-keeping, and communication.
