We pride ourselves on providing institutional-grade infrastructure while democratizing access to digital asset markets and services through our transparent, secure, and compliant operations.Role Description The Market Surveillance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of trading activities conducted on the MidChains platform. This individual will monitor market behavior, identify irregularities or potential market abuse, and ensure adherence to regulatory obligations in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.The ideal candidate has strong analytical ability, knowledge of digital asset markets, and experience working within a regulated trading environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct real-time and post-trade surveillance across digital asset markets to detect potential market manipulation, insider trading, wash trading, spoofing, layering, and other abusive practices.Review alerts generated by surveillance systems and escalated suspicious activity as necessary.Maintain a deep understanding of order book activity, trade flows, and market dynamics on the MidChains platform.Conduct daily transaction monitoring across customer activity, fiat flows, virtual asset transfers, wallet behavior, and related account activity to identify unusual or suspicious patterns. Review and disposition alerts generated from transaction monitoring systems, blockchain analytics tools, sanctions screening tools, and internal surveillance scenarios.Ensure surveillance controls comply with UAE regulations (e.g., ADGM, FSRA, VARA) and global standards.Blockchain Analytics and KYT Prepare incident reports and assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, or examinations.Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to enhance policies related to market integrity and conduct.Identify emerging risks in digital asset markets and recommend improvements to monitoring frameworks.Support the development, testing, and optimization of surveillance tools, models, and rule sets.Work closely with Technology teams to refine data feeds, system logic, and alert parameters.Partner with Operations, Custody, and Trading Services teams to ensure seamless detection and resolution of anomalies.Provide periodic training to internal stakeholders on market abuse typologies and surveillance best practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field.Experience in market surveillance, compliance monitoring, or trading oversight within a regulated financial institution or exchange.Strong understanding of trading mechanisms, order types, and market microstructure.Familiarity with cryptocurrency or digital asset markets and related regulatory landscapes.Ability to analyze large datasets and identify patterns using surveillance platforms or analytical tools.Knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks (ADGM, FSRA, SCA, VARA).Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, CFA, FINRA licenses) are considered a plus.Strong analytical and investigative mindset.close attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and report-writing skills.Ability to work independently in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.Commitment to upholding market integrity, compliance, and transparency.
