Job Title: Communications Consultant-Translator(English-Spanish)Location: Remote in ILDuration: September 01 to September 30 2026 (possible extension)Pay: $42.86.hrInterview: Candidates must be available to interview and start ASAPWhat the Candidate Will DoThe candidate will perform quality assurance and editorial review of English-to-Spanish translations for HCSC's Hispanic Communications team.Key responsibilities:Review Spanish translations for accuracy, grammar, tone, style, and formattingFollow HCSC's Spanish Master Glossary and Style GuideIdentify and document linguistic issuesCreate corrected translations when neededObtain manager approval before sending edits to the vendorTrack and document editorial progress dailyCommunicate project status, issues, and required edits to managementCoordinate with vendors, translators, editors, internal review teams, and leadershipEnsure translated communications meet brand and contract compliance requirementsMust-Have Candidate ProfileI'd prioritize candidates who have:Native-level Spanish + English fluency2–5+ years of Spanish-language editorial review, translation, or proofreadingStrong English → Spanish translation experienceStrong Spanish editing/proofreadingExcellent grammar and attention to linguistic detailExperience working with style guides/glossariesAbility to work under tight deadlinesStrong stakeholder/vendor communicationAbility to independently manage a project from start to finishStrong Preferred ExperienceATA Translation Certification or equivalentHealthcare/health insurance translation experienceFamiliarity with WrikeTranslation memory/CAT toolsExperience with corporate/marketing communications
