FAIRPLAY GLOBAL, INC.Director of MarketingRemote (U.S. or U.S. time zone) | Full-time | Reports to Co-Founders David Perla and Sanjay KamlaniCompensation: $105,000 – $130,000 base + meaningful equityAbout FairPlay Global and FairPlay LawFairPlay Law, PLLC is an AI-native law firm empowering white-collar professionals to take charge of their careers on a level playing field with their employers. We represent individuals as they navigate the highest-stakes moments of their working lives — layoffs, severance negotiations, non-compete disputes, equity and compensation questions, and the separation agreements that too often get signed under pressure and without real counsel. FairPlay Global, Inc. is an affiliated managed services organization (MSO) that provides marketing, technology, finance, HR, and related services to FairPlay Law.What sets us apart is how we deliver. Our AI platform, FairPlay Analytics, combines a proprietary dataset with playbooks, market scoring, and risk-and-negotiability analytics built by expert employment lawyers. It produces clear, customer-facing AI Reports that give professionals institutional-quality insight into their own agreements, analysis once available only to large employers. That insight earns trust and converts clients; our lawyers deliver the representation. We were co-founded by Sanjay Kamlani and David Perla, who previously co-founded and co-led Pangea3, a category-defining legal technology company backed by Sequoia Capital and acquired by Thomson Reuters. We are seed-funded and building fast, at a moment when white-collar and tech layoffs are at record levels and the professionals affected , earning anywhere from $70K to well over $1M, need us more than ever. The RoleThis is FairPlay's first full-time marketing hire and the most important marketing hire in the company, reporting directly to the Co-Founders. You will own the firm's marketing function day to day — brand, content, digital, print, and referral marketing — working alongside the founders and with a senior marketing advisor and outsourced marketing support personnel who already service parts of the marketing strategy and digital marketing execution. You are a leader who is also a doer.We need a generalist: someone who is a digital native fluent in the full current marketing toolkit, and who is equally comfortable producing a printed referral leave-behind, a direct-mail piece, or an event one-pager when the audience calls for it. You will do the work yourself when that is the fastest path to quality, and you will source, brief, and manage freelancers and specialist vendors when that is the smarter use of your time. You are a self-starter who builds structure where none exists yet.We are a startup that knows how to spend smart. While we expect to retain experts where appropriate, we can't hire a specialist for every function. We expect you to roll up your sleeves, which includes building e-mail and other campaigns, writing copy, editing HubSpot workflows, making and editing videos, and creating and executing LinkedIn posts and campaigns. You can run an e-mail or LinkedIn campaign with your own hands, and you can scope, select, and manage an outside resource or agency when that is the smarter use of time and capital. You are equally comfortable in the strategy conversation with the founders and in the weeds of execution. What You'll DoBrand, content & channel execution•    Plan and execute marketing across whatever mix of channels the audience and moment call for, including digital (search, organic and paid social, email, SEO/GEO), content (articles, video, newsletter), and print (direct mail, referral collateral, event and conference materials).•    Write, produce, and publish content yourself for most day-to-day needs; brief and manage freelance writers, designers, and videographers for specialized or high-volume work.•    Keep every piece of content on-brand against the Marketing Positioning & Brand Voice Guide, and route anything touching claims, outcomes, or fees through compliance review against the multi-state lawyer advertising rules before it ships.Referral marketing•    Build and run the firm's referral-marketing program to attorneys and law firms who need somewhere to send employee-side matters they can't take themselves.•    Extend that program to adjacent referral sources: executive search firms, wealth managers, HR and career consultants, and other advisors who work with the professionals FairPlay Law serves.•    Develop the outreach materials this audience actually responds to: peer-to-peer digital outreach, printed one-pagers and leave-behinds, and event or conference presence where it earns trust faster than a screen does.Direct-to-professional marketing•    Market directly to the white-collar professionals FairPlay Law serves, reaching them at the moments they're searching for help: a layoff, a severance offer, a non-compete, a new offer to negotiate.•    Own the website as a conversion asset — messaging, landing pages, and calls to action — updating copy directly and directing a developer for anything structural.•    Own SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) so the firm is found in both traditional search and AI answer engines.Operations & measurement•    Source, hire, and manage freelance and contract marketing resources — writers, designers, video editors, PR — and scope outside vendors when a project justifies it.•    Track performance across every channel — leads, cost per lead, referral volume, content engagement — and report plainly on what's working and what isn't.•    Manage the marketing budget and calendar across all of the above. What You Bring•    6+ years of marketing experience as a true generalist. Someone who has planned and executed campaigns across digital and traditional/print channels, not specialized in just one.•    Digital-native fluency across current channels: paid and organic social media (especially LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok), SEO/GEO/content, email/CRM, website, CMS, and landing-page tools, and basic analytics, plus hands-on comfort producing print and collateral materials when the audience calls for it.•    Experience marketing a high-trust, considered service to more than one kind of audience, ideally both a direct-to-professional audience and a referral or partner-relationship audience (law firms, executive search firms, online HR platforms, and other channel partners).•    Hands-on fluency with HubSpot, Google Ads, and LinkedIn advertising, plus a website CMS (WordPress or similar). Comfortable with basic design and video editing to ship without waiting on anyone.•    A demonstrated ability to work as both sole contributor and manager. You can write the post yourself this week and brief three freelancers on a bigger project next week.•    A strong, adaptable writer who can work precisely within brand voice and tone guidelines.•    A genuine self-starter with a true builder's mindset, comfortable building process and materials from scratch without an existing playbook or large team to lean on.Nice to have: professional-services marketing experience (legal, financial, executive search, consulting, or advisory); familiarity with lawyer-advertising rules or another regulated-industry marketing environment; basic design and video-editing skills; fluency with AI marketing and content tools. What Success Looks Like•    A steady drumbeat of on-brand, compliance-cleared content and campaigns across digital and print, no missed cadence, no backlog.•    A live, growing referral network: attorneys and law firms who send matters routinely, plus adjacent sources like executive search firms and HR consultants who know FairPlay Law by name.•    A direct-to-professional funnel with rising qualified lead volume, a falling cost per lead, and attribution clean enough for the founders to trust the numbers.•    A website and digital presence where SEO/GEO visibility, organic traffic, and on-site conversion are all moving up quarter over quarter.•    Reporting the Co-Founders can act on without translation — what's working, what isn't, and a clear recommendation either way.Why This Role•    Work directly with two Co-Founders who built and sold a category-defining legal technology company — with real ownership over how the next one is built.•    Join at the moment of maximum leverage: a differentiated AI-native product, a validated model, and a wide-open digital channel waiting to be built.•    Build a function, not inherit one: the strategy, the systems, and the results will be yours.•    Do work that matters. Every client we reach is a person facing one of the hardest moments of their professional life, and our marketing is how they find us.How to ApplyTell us about a marketing function or campaign you built from the ground up: what you did with your own hands, what you hired out, and what it produced. If you've marketed a high-trust professional service to individual professionals, or if you've marketed to two distinct audiences at once (for example, consumers and referral partners), lead with that.FairPlay Global, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building an inclusive team.
