Our client is a premium F&B consumer technology brand focused on building products that enhances everyday rituals. They're looking for a Director of Marketing who owns the “how it feels” across every customer touchpoint. This is a hands-on, player-coach role for someone with exceptional taste who moves fast, ships high-quality work, and can shape a coherent brand story while also executing. They're in a strong growth phase with new products launching, a subscription service about to hit, and a full holiday season ahead. The team is intentionally lean, execution runs through great agencies and freelancers, and the bar for quality is high.You will be a key voice at the table, bringing real influence on everything that matters – especially around brand aesthetics. You will identify what needs to happen and drive it forward.What you'll own:Product launchesFour new products are on the horizon, plus new colors and seasonal campaigns. You'll own the launch calendar, build back the timelines, write the briefs, align the agencies, and make sure everything shows up cohesively and on time. You're the connective tissue between every team touching a launch. You'll create launch toolkits that unify messaging and visuals across channels, then drive execution with the team.Email marketingThe company works with an email agency to execute their email marketing campaigns. You will lead the strategy: reviewing emails prior to launch, analyzing performance after it lands, and keeping the agency accountable that drives the business forward. This person should ideally having strong storytelling and copy skills - not rely on AI for all :)Agency and vendor managementMost execution runs through agencies and freelancers including, paid media, social content, design, and more. You will manage those relationships and ensure cohesion across the various teams and their outputs.Brand creative and aestheticsThis is a design-forward brand. Our client is looking for someone with a sharp eye who can direct the creative work (i.e, photo shoots, social content, ad assets) and make it better. When something is off, you are the person that will see it and ensure it gets fixed. You can tell the difference between on-brand and off-brand work and say why. You're capable of hands on execution (refreshing an ad image, adjusting a template) but you're not expected to produce final, polished assets from scratch. You'll manage vendors and agencies but you mustbe capable of producing work yourself as well as building and evolving a modern brand system and guidelines, to keep the quality bar extremely high.Campaigns and seasonal momentsThere are natural moments to show up throughout the year: holiday, gifting seasons, new product drops, and subscription growth pushes. You'll build the campaign calendar, work with the President on strategy and coordinate execution across email, social, ads and the site. There will be roughly one major moment per month. You'll create and refresh ad image creative, including evergreen creative and campaign-specific assets.Subscription growthA soon to launch subscription service needs sharper positioning and better storytelling. You will be responsible for helping define how it grows, ensuring a clearer value communication, a smoother customer experience, and launching campaigns that convert.What they're looking forHigh levels of autonomy. You can take a project, figure out what it needs, seek guidance to keep things moving and come back with something done. Someone with taste, competency, speed, and a bias toward action will thrive here.Design eye. You do not have to be a designer by trade, but you can tell the difference between on brand creative and off brand creative, and you can articulate why so that a fix can be made.Strong writing skills. You can express your thinking clearly and are good at storytelling in a way that AI isn’t. :)AI-Competent.You can efficiently leverage AI tools to move faster and automate mundane tasks, without replacing your thinking and creativity.Skilled manager and partner. You have experience managing agencies or vendors and know how to work effectively with and through them.Consumer or DTC brand experience. You understand how to talk to real people about products they actually use.Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite or similar platformsNice to havesExperience in lifestyle, food and beverage, or premium consumer accessoriesComfort reading performance data — open rates, click-throughs, conversion — and knowing what to do with itExperience launching new products in a lean, fast-moving environmentExperience with subscriptions and lifecycle marketing (especially improving positioning andflows).Familiarity with packaging design and physical brand experiences.How they work:Small but mighty team.
