Role Profile : Marketing ManagerReports To: Director of MarketingDirect Reports: Content & CRM ManagerBased Manchester – Primary Office : LeedsRequirement to be in Leeds office once per week minimum on Mondays.For this role you will need a either a portfolio or proof of work in the early stages of the processRole PurposeThe Marketing Manager will be the operational lead for Horizon's marketing function and the principal deputy to the Director of Marketing.The role is responsible for turning business and marketing strategy into a clear, prioritised programme of campaigns, events, digital activity, sales enablement and brand development. It will bring structure to the function, coordinate delivery across the business and ensure agreed activity is completed to a consistently high standard.Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Revenue Growth, Client Strategy, Product and thewider leadership team, the Marketing Manager will own the day-to-day marketing plan and manage the Content & CRM Manager. The role will balance planned activity with commercial requests, making clear decisions about priorities, timescales and resource.This is a broad, hands-on management role for someone who can lead the function beneath director level, improve the way work moves through the team and ensure Marketing makes a visible contribution to Horizon's growth.Key Responsibilities1. Marketing Planning and Delivery

• Translate the marketing strategy into annual, quarterly and monthly delivery plans.
• Own the integrated marketing calendar across campaigns, content, digital, events, partnerships and sales activity.
• Set priorities, owners and deadlines, and keep delivery on track across the team.
• Manage new requests against agreed priorities and make clear recommendations when trade-offs are required.
• Maintain visibility of progress, dependencies, risks and upcoming decisions.2. Team Leadership and Ways of Working
• Manage, support and develop the Content & CRM Manager.
• Run the day-to-day marketing workflow, including briefs, planning sessions, reviews and approvals.
• Create clear processes for requests from Sales and the wider business.
• Ensure the team has the information, access and internal input needed to deliver effectively.
• Deputise for the Director of Marketing where appropriate.3. Campaigns and Demand Generation
• Lead the planning and coordination of integrated campaigns aligned to Horizon's commercialpriorities and target sectors.
• Develop campaign briefs covering audience, proposition, channels, assets, timescales andmeasures of success.
• Coordinate delivery across HubSpot, website, LinkedIn, events, partnerships and sales outreach.
• Work with the Content & CRM Manager to create campaign journeys, content and follow-up activity.
• Review campaign performance and use the findings to improve future activity.4. Events Partnerships and Market Presence
• Own Horizon's programme of conferences, roundtables, webinars, sponsorships and hosted events.
• Assess opportunities against commercial value, audience fit, cost and resource requirements.
• Manage event plans, suppliers, speakers, promotion, sales coordination and post-event follow-up.
• Identify relevant partnerships, awards and profile-building opportunities.
• Ensure each activity has a clear purpose, audience and follow-up plan.5. Brand Website and Product Marketing
• Protect consistent use of Horizon's brand, positioning and messaging across all marketing activity.
• Manage the website roadmap, coordinating improvements with the Content & CRM Manager,developers and agencies.
• Support the Director in embedding Horizon's company narrative and product proposition across the business.
• Coordinate go-to-market activity for new platform capabilities, services and sector propositions.
• Ensure customer-facing materials remain accurate, current and aligned to the product roadmap.6. Sales Alignment and Enablement
• Act as the main day-to-day marketing partner for the Revenue Growth team.
• Translate commercial priorities into planned marketing campaigns and enablement requirements.
• Manage the pipeline of requests for presentations, credentials, case studies, one-page overviewsand campaign support.
• Agree lead follow-up and feedback processes with Sales and monitor marketing's contribution topipeline.
• Ensure Marketing supports sales conversations without becoming an unplanned internal productionservice.7. Budget Agencies and Suppliers
• Manage agreed marketing budgets and maintain accurate visibility of committed and forecastexpenditure.
• Manage agencies, freelancers, media partners and other suppliers against clear briefs anddeliverables.
• Identify where specialist external support is needed and recommend the appropriate resource.
• Monitor value, quality and performance across external relationships.8. Performance and Reporting
• Own the overall marketing reporting framework and regular performance reviews.
• Bring together campaign, content, HubSpot, website, event and pipeline data into a clear view ofperformance.
• Provide concise updates and recommendations to the Director and senior stakeholders.
• Use evidence to refine priorities, channel investment and the marketing plan.Key Measures of SuccessPlanning and Delivery

• The Director is freed from routine coordination and can focus on strategy, narrative and seniorbusiness priorities.Experience and SkillsEssential
• At least 5 years' experience across B2B marketing, including responsibility for a broad marketingremit.
• Experience in a marketing management role within technology, SaaS, software, data or a relatedbusiness.
• Evidence of translating strategy into practical marketing plans and coordinated delivery.
• Experience managing integrated campaigns across digital, content, email, social, events and salesactivity.
• Strong team, project and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working closely with senior leaders and sales teams in a commercially focusedenvironment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, set realistic expectations and maintain momentum.
• Experience managing budgets, agencies and external suppliers.
• A sound understanding of marketing performance, demand generation and pipeline reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a sharp eye for detail and presentation quality.Desirable
• Experience in a growth-stage or investor-backed technology business.
• Understanding of customer intelligence, CRM, analytics, AI or marketing technology.
• Experience supporting product launches or proposition development.
• Working knowledge of HubSpot and marketing automation.
• Experience across one or more of Horizon's priority sectors: retail, sport, hospitality and gaming.
