Its commercial relationships include distributors, retail partners, and direct customers.This position offers broad ownership rather than a narrowly defined marketing remit. You will work across strategy, products, market segments, digital channels, sales support, events, and brand development while working closely with senior leadership.The company operates with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and gives its marketing team substantial room to make decisions, test ideas, and turn strategy into measurable results.This is a confidential recruitment search. Company details will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates.Your MissionThe primary objective of this position is to create marketing strategies that contribute directly to commercial growth.You will assess where the business has the greatest opportunities, determine how different customer groups should be approached, develop campaigns around priority products, and ensure marketing activity is connected to sales and measurable business outcomes.You will also take responsibility for the marketing budget and help expand the marketing function through internal resources and external specialists as required.Key Areas of Responsibility1. Business-Led MarketingTranslate company objectives into practical marketing priorities and execution plans.Build annual and campaign-level plans covering objectives, resources, budgets, timelines, and expected outcomes.Review market trends, competitors, customer needs, and positioning.Identify areas where the company's current marketing approach needs to change.Allocate marketing resources according to commercial potential and expected return.2. Market DevelopmentExamine individual industries and customer groups to understand their needs, barriers, opportunities, and current engagement with the company.Develop different approaches for markets that require different propositions or buying journeys.Establish appropriate audiences, messaging, value propositions, channels, and commercial goals.Identify opportunities for entering or developing new markets.Recommend where marketing attention and investment should be shifted.3. Product Marketing & GrowthDetermine which products have the strongest growth potential.Build campaigns designed specifically around those opportunities.Develop product propositions and messaging for different audiences and channels.Work alongside sales on channel development and market-entry initiatives.Create sales materials and other tools that help commercial teams communicate product value.Coordinate product launches and evaluate their results after launch.4. Marketing & Sales IntegrationAct as a strategic marketing partner to sales and company leadership.Bring customer objections, sales feedback, and market intelligence into marketing planning.Support lead-generation initiatives and improve the connection between marketing-generated opportunities and sales follow-up.Help establish clear expectations around lead ownership, quality, follow-up, and conversion.Collaborate with product and operational teams to ensure marketing plans are commercially and operationally realistic.5. Digital Presence & CommunicationsOwn the social media direction and content planning.Manage website-focused marketing initiatives and SEO activity.Improve online visibility, engagement, and conversion.Coordinate messaging across digital channels, email, websites, product campaigns, and sales materials.Protect consistency in brand positioning across different markets and customer touchpoints.Direct the production of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, photography, video, and other collateral.6. Events, Partners & External ResourcesDetermine which events provide meaningful commercial value and develop plans around them.Coordinate event preparation, promotion, sales involvement, execution, and follow-up.Support marketing initiatives involving distributors, installers, and other partners.Manage agencies, freelancers, creators, contractors, and other external suppliers.Ensure external work meets agreed quality, deadlines, scope, and budget.7.
