The faculty member will design and deliver curriculum in mass media and related subjects, using a mix of lectures, practical exercises, projects, and industry-oriented case studies. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, guiding students on assignments and portfolios, mentoring learners on academic and career development, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of media trends and technologies. The role involves coordinating with other faculty for interdisciplinary projects, participating in academic events and workshops, and contributing to continuous course improvement based on student feedback and industry requirements. The faculty member will also support assessment processes, ensure academic quality standards, and uphold the institute’s commitment to inclusive and engaging learning.Qualifications Strong knowledge of mass media, including journalism, broadcasting, digital media, film, and communication theory, with the ability to translate concepts into practical classroom applications.Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and student assessment, with skills in designing projects and activities that reflect current industry practices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas clearly, provide constructive feedback, and engage diverse learners.Proficiency with media tools and technologies such as video production software, basic editing tools, presentation platforms, and online learning systems.Demonstrated classroom management, mentoring, and student support skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.Relevant academic qualification in Mass Media, Communication, Journalism, Film, or a related field; postgraduate degree and teaching experience at an institute or university are preferred.Prior professional experience in media, broadcasting, digital content, or related industries, along with strong industry networks, will be an added advantage.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to academic events and workshops, and stay updated with emerging trends in media and education.
