قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدج01 BASIC FUNCTION Responsible for the navigation, operation, management, care and safety of the vessel and well-being of the crew and all other persons on-board as well as the safety of the equipment carried on-board. The duties and responsibilities are governed by all pertinent and applicable laws. It is the duty of the captain to keep himself fully informed of and adheres to all U.A.E. Laws and other relevant international laws, regulations and directives affecting the operation of the vessel. The captain shall not berth at any port or place unless he complies with all laws, rules and regulations. The captain is also responsible for the implementation of the Company QHSE & SMS Management System.02 OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Must at all times be in possession of his Merchant Mariners Document on-board the vessel and notify the Company Office of any change in his License status.At the time of command, he shall acquaint himself with the handling characteristics of the vessel, equipment, personnel, operation of the navigational equipment, speed, fuel consumption, safety apparatus and other essential characteristics.Shall assure himself that the vessel is seaworthy in all respects, equipment is in satisfactory condition, and that necessary provisions for the service contemplated is on-board. He shall then report the results of his inspection to the Company Office.The Captain has full authority over all personnel on-board pertaining to safety of the vessel and crew. Have the over-riding authority to deviate from the company policy and procedures for sake of the safety and environmental protection. Maintain proper order and discipline on-board at all times and be held responsible for any disorderly conduct or violation of the law or rules that might have been prevented by proper administration and supervision on his part.Shall impartially investigate any grievance presented by a person on-board and take prompt steps to arrive at fair solution to the problem.Shall admonish any member of the crew whose attitude towards others on-board interferes with the efficient operation of the vessel. If such conduct persists, the Captain shall make a full report of the circumstances to the Company Office.The Captain is the individual who is accountable for damage to or loss of the vessel, injury or loss to any member of the crew or other personnel on-board, damage or any other loss sustained by other vessels, structures or persons caused by the vessel or the crew. He shall never endanger the safety of the vessel or the safety of those on-board. If a conflict arises between operating requirement / customer demands and safety, the Captain should consult the Company Office as soon as possible.The captain is responsible for the preparation and filling of all records and documents on-board the vessel. He shall exercise particular attention to the accuracy and safekeeping of documents and records required by law.Master is responsible and accountable to report any illegal or smuggling act to the company management immediately, failure to report of such crime, Company reserve the right to initiate legal actions as per UAE Penal code article 388, 389, 404 and as per ILO MLC regulations and flag state laws, as per UAE Laws any involvement in such crimes shall be imprisoned for a minimum term of five to seven years, as per MLC regulations company reserve the right to seize the Master and the accused crewmember salaries and compensation, in addition company reserve the rights to reports such crimes to the Flag state and other contracting Governments to backlist the accused crewmember and initiate actions to cancel their STCW certificates.The Captain is at all times responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel. He shall be in the Wheelhouse when entering or leaving port, when in restricted waters, when other vessels are in the immediate vicinity, and at all times when the safe maneuvering of the vessel dictates his presence in the Wheelhouse.He shall assure himself that all members of the crew who stand watch on the bridge are familiar with the International Rules of the Road, and he shall exercise strict supervision to see the vessel is handled in accordance with the provision thereof.He shall ensure that all problems encountered shall be reported to the Company Office.He shall ensure to always protect oneself, colleagues, worksites, equipment and the environment.03 HSE RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Maintain reporting to the Shore Based ManagementEnsure proper maintenance of the vessel and equipmentEnsures the proper implementation of the company’s Health, Safety and Pollution Prevention policy and motivating all crewmembers to observe its intended and implied QHSE requirements.Issues orders and instructions to the ship’s crew in a clear and simple manner.Investigates, report and document all near misses, incidents and accidents.Ensures the QHSE group meetings and emergency drills are carried out, reported and documented.Ensures that risk assessment is carried out for new or unusual tasks.Ensure that all QHSE information received from head office is passed on to crewmembers.Participate in all QHSE promotional activities and campaigns and motivating all crewmembers to participate in the sameCarry out QHSE inspections of vessel.Maintain all relevant certification of vessel and LSA and FFA on-board.Maintains a high standard of personal and professional conduct in compliance with QHSE as an example for his crew to follow.Ensuring safe loading, securing and discharging of cargo, so as not to endanger the vessel’s stability.Develops the professional abilities of subordinates. Ensures the emergency preparedness of the entire crew of the vessel.Standing bridge watch.Maintain good liaison regarding QHSE, with Clients.03 HSE AUTHORITYHaving full authority to stop any unsafe work that may harm the health of personnel, cause injury to personnel or damage the environment.04 QUALIFICATION AND AGE LIMITArabian class I Master European class I MasterEuropean Tug master unlimitedSTCW white list Master Indonesian Master unlimitedIndian Master FGOther Asian class I Master Age 30 – 50 years05 SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Minimum 24 Months oilfield experience in rank of Master on a similar type of vessel.Fluent in written and spoken English.
