Razny Jewelers, a premier family-owned luxury jeweler serving the Chicagoland area for more than 70 years, is seeking an experienced Master Bench Jeweler to join our Manufacturing and Service team at our Addison, Illinois location.For three generations, the Razny family has built its reputation on exceptional craftsmanship, uncompromising quality, and personalized service. Our bench jewelers play an essential role in upholding that reputation, working with fine jewelry, diamonds, precious gemstones, and pieces of significant value and meaning to our clients.We are looking for a highly skilled craftsperson who takes pride in precision, understands the standards expected in a luxury jewelry environment, and is confident performing both complex repairs and advanced jewelry fabrication.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced jewelry repair, restoration, and alteration while maintaining the integrity and quality of each pieceExpertly set diamonds and precious gemstones using a variety of setting techniquesPerform complex ring sizing, prong and channel repair, re-tipping, chain repair, and other fine jewelry repairsUtilize laser welding and traditional bench techniques to complete precise repairs and modificationsAssemble and fabricate jewelry ranging from traditional designs to complex, high-end piecesTake jewelry from raw casting through assembly, stone setting, polishing, and final finishingWork confidently with platinum, 18K and 14K gold, and other precious metalsEvaluate jewelry and determine appropriate repair methods while identifying potential structural or quality concernsMaintain exceptional quality standards and attention to detail throughout every stage of the repair or manufacturing processCollaborate with our service, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure client expectations and deadlines are metProperly handle, protect, and account for high-value merchandise, diamonds, gemstones, and client-owned jewelryMaintain an organized, professional, and secure bench environmentQualifications7+ years of professional bench jewelry experience, preferably within a luxury or high-end fine jewelry environmentAdvanced proficiency in jewelry repair, fabrication, stone setting, soldering, laser welding, polishing, and finishingDemonstrated ability to complete complex repairs and fabrication independently from start to finishExtensive experience working with platinum, yellow gold, white gold, diamonds, and precious gemstonesStrong understanding of jewelry construction, structural integrity, and appropriate repair techniquesExceptional hand skills, precision, and attention to detailAbility to consistently produce work that meets luxury-quality standardsStrong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when working with valuable or delicate piecesStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environmentHigh level of discretion, integrity, and responsibility when handling client-owned and high-value merchandiseAbility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, including occasional overtime or modified schedulesCommitment to continued learning and development, regardless of experience levelGIA education, trade school training, or other recognized jewelry certifications are a plusWhy Join Razny Jewelers?At Razny Jewelers, craftsmanship is at the heart of what we do.
