The on and offshore teams at UOS are highly experienced with a long track record of delivering safe and reliable operations to end clients in just about every offshore energy basin around the world.We are actively looking for a Master Mariner to join our company.SummaryThe Master Mariner is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the assigned vessel while maintaining the highest standards of safety, leadership, and operational excellence. As the Master, you will lead the onboard team, ensure compliance with international and company regulations, and work closely with the onshore management team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.With a growing fleet of 11 active Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, 7 active Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs), and 12 newbuild vessels joining our operations, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a company focused on long-term growth and career development.ResponsibilitiesEnsure the safe navigation and overall command of the vessel in accordance with international regulations and company procedures.Promote and maintain a strong safety culture onboard through effective leadership and continuous improvement.Lead, mentor, and develop the onboard crew while fostering teamwork and professionalism.Ensure compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS), ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, and all applicable statutory requirements.Maintain effective communication with Vessel Managers, Operations, clients, and relevant authorities.Manage vessel operations to achieve the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.Oversee emergency preparedness, drills, and onboard risk management.Ensure accurate reporting of vessel performance, incidents, maintenance requirements, and operational activities.Monitor fuel consumption and operational efficiency while maintaining cost awareness.Support dry dockings, inspections, audits, mobilizations, and new project requirements as required.Contribute to the successful integration and commissioning of newbuild vessels where applicable.QualificationsMaster Unlimited Certificate of Competency.Previous command experience on offshore vessels, preferably AHTS and/or PSV.Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.Excellent understanding of offshore operations, DP operations, and marine legislation.Valid STCW certification and offshore medical certificates.Dynamic Positioning (DP Unlimited) certification preferred.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Safety-focused with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Why UOS?Modern offshore fleet with continued expansion.12 newbuild vessels offering exciting future opportunities.Long-term career development and promotion opportunities.International offshore working environment.Strong safety culture with highly experienced teams.Opportunity to contribute to the future growth of a rapidly expanding offshore company.Ready to take command of your next challenge?
