Material Engineer - (Project: Landscape & Swimming Pool)

If you are ready to be part of the team shaping Dubai’s skyline, your future starts here.Role Overview:We are looking for a Material Engineer to manage material testing, quality compliance, and material approvals for landscape and swimming pool execution projects. The candidate must bring practical, site-based experience gained within a UAE contracting environment.

Responsibilities

Review, verify, and approve material submittals for landscape works (soil, planting media, irrigation components, hardscape materials) and swimming pool works (waterproofing systems, pool finishes, tiling, mechanical/filtration components).Coordinate sampling and laboratory testing of materials in line with project specifications and UAE municipal/authority requirements.Maintain material tracking registers, test certificates, and traceability records for all approved materials.Liaise with approved testing laboratories and suppliers to ensure timely testing and certification of materials.Conduct site inspections to verify that materials delivered and used on site match approved submittals.Support the QA/QC team in resolving non-conformances related to material quality or specification deviations.Prepare material approval submissions and technical data sheets for consultant and client review.Monitor material storage and handling practices on site to prevent degradation or non-compliance.Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure materials meet project timelines without compromising quality standards.Ensure all material documentation complies with project specifications, UAE codes, and relevant international standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Material Engineer within a UAE-based contracting firm.Demonstrated experience with materials used in landscape and swimming pool execution projects (soil/planting media, irrigation, waterproofing, pool finishes, tiling).Strong knowledge of UAE material testing standards, approved laboratories, and municipal/authority approval processes.Familiarity with project specifications, submittal procedures, and material traceability systems.Good working knowledge of MS Office and material tracking/document control systems.
