Location: Mississauga, ONPay Rate: $23.00/hourSchedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMEmployment Type: Contract / Ongoing OpportunityPosition OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Material Handler Lead to support day-to-day warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.This is a hands-on leadership position.

The successful candidate will oversee and support warehouse employees while also assisting with material handling and general labour duties as required. The ideal candidate has previous Team Lead experience in a warehouse, transportation, logistics, or distribution environment and is comfortable working alongside their team on the warehouse floor.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, support, and oversee warehouse employees in their daily responsibilities.Monitor team performance and help achieve operational KPIs.Identify operational issues, troubleshoot problems, and communicate resolutions to management.Proactively coordinate activities to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.Ensure employees follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and operational requirements.Troubleshoot and assist with RFID scanners and scanning devices.Train, coach, motivate, and provide guidance to team members.Provide hands-on support with material handling, package movement, sorting, lifting, and other general labour duties as required.Assist team members with their tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.Help resolve workplace issues and conflicts professionally.Maintain clear communication with employees, supervisors, and management.Complete basic computer and administrative tasks related to warehouse operations.Qualifications & Requirements1+ year of Team Lead experience in a warehouse, transportation, logistics, distribution, or operational environment.Working knowledge of RFID scanning systems/devices.College Diploma required; Logistics or Transportation education is considered an asset.Strong leadership skills with the ability to work with and support a diverse team.Ability to train, coach, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to employees.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Good computer skills.Creative thinker with the ability to identify solutions and improve operational processes.Flexible to work afternoon or night shifts when required.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Ability to travel locally and to the U.S. occasionally, as required (0–10%).Work Environment & Physical RequirementsFast-paced warehouse/package sortation environment.Regular exposure to conveyor machinery and warehouse noise.Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform pushing, pulling, lifting, and occasional kneeling.Ability to work at a computer/desk when required.Ability to safely use stairs, ladders, and ramps.
