Material, Store and Tool Controller

Job Overview: The Material, Store and Tool Controller is responsible for efficiently managing the issuance, tracking, and storage of tools, materials, uniforms, and office consumables within the workshop. This role supports workshop mechanics by ensuring they have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their tasks, while maintaining accurate inventory records. Additionally, the controller may assist the Fleet Manager with various daily tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue tools, materials, uniforms, and office consumables to workshop mechanics and staff. - Maintain accurate inventory records for all issued items, ensuring stock levels are monitored and replenished in a timely manner. - Manage the storage and organization of tools, materials, uniforms, drinking water, and brew kits in the workshop store. - Track and manage the issuance of office consumables and ensure availability of items like drinking water and brew kits. - Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile inventory discrepancies. - Assist the Fleet Manager with daily operational tasks and administrative duties as required. - Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols related to store management. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop store area. Qualifications and Skills: - Proven experience in inventory or store management, preferably within a workshop or industrial environment. - Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy in issuing and recording items. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication skills. - Ability to assist with manual handling and physical stock management. - Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory systems.
