Materials Engineer

Title: Materials Development Engineer II (Composites)Location: Portland, OR (On-site)Contract Duration: 12 MonthsDescription:Collaborate with the Footwear Innovation team to transition new materials and processes from prototype to production.Work hands-on with composite materials including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and epoxy-based systems.Assist in process development, manufacturing trials, testing, and validation activities.Create and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and process specifications.Utilize CAD tools to support product, tooling, and process development activities.Partner with global teams and manufacturing stakeholders to drive project execution and continuous improvement.Contribute to problem-solving, material evaluation, and process optimization efforts in a fast-paced innovation environment.Skills:Composites ManufacturingCarbon Fiber & Fiberglass MaterialsCAD SoftwareEpoxy Handling & ProcessingProcess DevelopmentPrototypingManufacturing OperationsTechnical DocumentationPresentation & Communication SkillsCross-Functional CollaborationStatistical Analysis (Preferred)Footwear or Advanced Materials Development Experience
