The company is currently undergoing a significant business transformation aimed at accelerating business growth.About the role:Direct or coordinate production scheduling, indirect purchasing, receiving, warehousing, shipping, distribution, critical materials and financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product supply and distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of frozen loin and critical material inventories.

Responsibilities

Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.Plant point of contact for material related transactions utilizing internal Trax software + SAP (IM/EWM/PP).Supervise production scheduling to optimize plant production output while meeting corporate demand.Work with Corporate Supply Planning.Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.Work with Corporate R&D, Procurement, and QA on new product development, and any associated raw material changes.Supervise loin storage including onsite and offsite.Supervise cans/ends import management + storage including onsite and offsite.Supervise all Shipping and Receiving activities.Supervise local MRO procurement.Maintain Supplier Document Repository ensuring all outside contracts are maintained + up to date.Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.Education:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience:8-10 years of progressive levels of responsibility within Materials Management and/or Manufacturing.Skills:Organized, attentive to detail and record keeping skills; Excellent communication and people skills; Problem solving skills; Demonstrable leadership capabilities; Experience working in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred but not required.) that used Lean Manufacturing concepts in daily continuous improvement activities; Experienced in ERP environment, preferably SAP.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.
