We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can simplify complex concepts and inspire students to become confident, independent learners.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Math Tutor / Science Specialist to provide personalized mathematics and science instruction, academic guidance, and examination support.This part-time remote opportunity is ideal for a knowledgeable educator who can assess student needs, develop customized learning plans, deliver engaging lessons, explain complex concepts clearly, and monitor academic progress.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging mathematics and science lessons based on students' academic levels, learning goals, and curriculum requirements.Teach core mathematical concepts including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, functions, and problem-solving.Provide instruction in relevant science subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, or general science.Assess students' knowledge, identify learning gaps, and develop individualized learning plans.Explain complex mathematical and scientific concepts using clear, practical, and age-appropriate methods.Develop lesson plans, worksheets, practice exercises, presentations, experiments, quizzes, and digital learning resources.Guide students through homework, assignments, projects, revision programs, and examination preparation.Teach effective problem-solving, analytical reasoning, study, and examination techniques.Monitor student attendance, participation, academic performance, and learning progress.Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to help students improve.Adapt teaching strategies and materials to different learning styles, abilities, and academic requirements.Encourage students to ask questions, experiment, think critically, and develop independent-learning skills.Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, teachers, and education coordinators regarding student progress.Maintain accurate lesson records, assessment results, progress reports, and learning documentation.Use virtual classrooms, digital whiteboards, learning-management systems, simulations, and other educational technology.Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in mathematics tutoring, science education, academic instruction, or a related role is preferred.Strong knowledge of mathematics and/or relevant science subjects with the ability to explain concepts clearly.Experience teaching students across different ages, academic levels, or international curricula.Strong understanding of student-centered learning and effective tutoring methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to identify learning gaps and create targeted academic support plans.Patient, encouraging, adaptable, and results-oriented approach to teaching.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Comfortable using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, digital whiteboards, LMS platforms, and educational technology.Experience with GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, AP, SAT, or other standardized academic programs is advantageous.Teaching, tutoring, STEM, or subject-specific certifications are advantageous but not required.What We OfferFlexible part-time working hours with a fully remote work arrangement.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and teaching responsibilities.Opportunity to support international students across diverse academic backgrounds.Exposure to mathematics, science education, examination preparation, curriculum development, and digital learning.Professional development opportunities and continuous academic training.A supportive, student-focused environment where curiosity, analytical thinking, academic progress, and learning confidence are highly valued.
