Company Description Dushanbe International School (DIS), founded in 1997, is an international school in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, serving Kindergarten through Year 11 students from both local and international communities. The school offers Cambridge International Examinations alongside local examinations, with lessons taught primarily in English and Tajik and Russian as compulsory second languages. DIS provides a rich extracurricular program including sports, academic clubs, arts, and journalism, supporting students’ holistic development. The campus features a well-equipped computer laboratory, reliable internet access, and a library of around 8,000 books available for student use, creating a resource-rich learning environment for both educators and learners.Role Description The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons to students across appropriate grade levels, aligned with DIS and Cambridge International curricula. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of achievement. The teacher will design learning activities that promote mathematical thinking, support diverse learning needs, and integrate appropriate educational technologies. Additional responsibilities include participating in faculty meetings, contributing to curriculum development, communicating with families and colleagues, and supporting school events or clubs when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Dushanbe International School in Dushanbe.Qualifications Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education appropriate for primary and secondary levels.Proven experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development within an international or similar school context.Status as a Qualified Teacher, with relevant teaching certification or license.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.Experience teaching in English-medium classrooms; additional proficiency in Tajik or Russian is an advantage.Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.Strong classroom management, communication, and intercultural collaboration skills.Experience with Cambridge International Examinations or comparable international curricula is preferred.
