Mathematics Tutor- Test Preparation

JOB TITLE: Math Test Preparation TutorEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-TimeDEPARTMENT: Test PreparationJOB SUMMARY:We are looking for an experienced Math Test Preparation Tutor with a minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience. The candidate should have experience preparing students for examinations such as SAT, GMAT, GRE, UCAT, IMAT or similar quantitative and aptitude-based entrance examinations.The candidate should have strong mathematical and quantitative reasoning skills and the ability to identify student weaknesses and develop structured preparation strategies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct one-to-one and group tutoring sessions.Prepare students for SAT, GMAT, GRE, UCAT, IMAT and similar examinations.Teach and simplify mathematical and quantitative concepts.Develop lesson plans and personalized study strategies.Assess student strengths and weaknesses through diagnostic tests and mock examinations.Teach exam-specific question types and problem-solving techniques.Train students in time management and test-taking strategies.Track student progress and maintain academic records.Provide regular feedback to students and parents.Conduct mock tests and analyse student performance.Prepare practice questions, worksheets and revision materials.Stay updated with examination formats, syllabi, question styles and scoring methods.Work with academic and counselling teams to support student development.Help students establish realistic score targets and preparation timelines.Contribute to the development of academic resources and test-preparation materials.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching or tutoring experience.Proven experience preparing students for SAT, GMAT, GRE, UCAT, IMAT or similar competitive examinations.Strong command of Mathematics and Quantitative Reasoning.Strong understanding of examination strategies and problem-solving techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple and structured manner.Strong student-management and mentoring skills.Ability to work with students from different academic backgrounds.Comfortable conducting both individual and group sessions.Strong organizational skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Education or a related quantitative field.Experience with American, British, IB, IGCSE or CBSE curricula.Strong personal performance in SAT, GMAT, GRE or equivalent examinations.Previous experience in a test-preparation institute, tutoring centre or education consultancy.Experience mentoring students targeting competitive universities.Experience developing academic content, practice materials and mock examinations.IDEAL CANDIDATE:The ideal candidate should have strong mathematical and quantitative reasoning skills combined with excellent teaching and mentoring abilities.
