Job Overview Role: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) / Duty Doctor Location: Rampur, Uttar Pradesh Department: Inpatient Department (IPD), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Emergency/Casualty Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts (Day, Evening, Night) with handover protocol Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Ward Rounds: Conduct scheduled daily rounds for IPD/ICU patients, monitor vitals, review laboratory investigations, and adjust care plans in consultation with primary consultants. Emergency & Resuscitation: Handle casualty walk-ins and acute clinical deteriorations; initiate BLS/ACLS protocols, code blue response, and basic airway/hemodynamic stabilization before senior handover. Consultant Coordination: Communicate admission updates, abnormal diagnostics, or urgent clinical changes promptly to the respective specialist or visiting doctor. Clinical Procedures: Perform bed-side minor procedures such as IV cannulation, catheterization, nasogastric tube placement, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, wound dressing, and suture removal. Documentation & Discharge: Maintain comprehensive electronic or physical case sheets, progress notes, and medication charts. Draft accurate, detailed discharge summaries and death summaries per medico-legal guidelines. Interdisciplinary Support: Coordinate closely with nursing staff, pharmacists, and lab technicians to ensure timely administration of prescribed therapies. Requirements & Qualifications Education: MBBS degree from an institute recognized by NMC (formerly MCI). Licensure: Mandatory permanent registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or Uttar Pradesh Medical Council (UPMC). Experience: 0 to 3 years post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setup (fresh graduates who completed a 1-year rotatory internship are eligible). Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification is strongly preferred.
