The team helps customers make informed decisions in a market where sellers are not required to disclose accident history, flood damage, or odometer issues.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Dubai. The Mechanic will perform detailed mechanical inspections on vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, braking systems, and steering components, following InspectMotors’ standardized multi-point checklist. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, identifying accident or flood damage, verifying chassis integrity, and running OBD scans to detect hidden faults. The role involves preparing clear, accurate inspection reports for customers, explaining findings in accessible language, and supporting buyers, dealerships, and fleet operators with evidence-based recommendations. The Mechanic will also maintain tools and equipment, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with the inspection team to meet same-day booking and reporting timelines.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of light vehicles and related systems.Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to identify wear, potential failures, and service needs before breakdowns occur.Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Heavy Equipment or complex vehicle systems, including engines, drivetrains, and electrical components.Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using tools, test equipment, and OBD scanners.Candidates should ideally have a technical diploma or certification in automotive engineering or vehicle maintenance.Candidates should have prior experience as an automotive mechanic or inspector, preferably with multi-brand vehicles and used car evaluations.Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to follow structured checklists, and strong written reporting skills in English.Candidates should be able to work on-site in Dubai, hold a valid driver’s license, and adhere to safety, quality, and ethical standards.
