Our technologies are helping communities protect drinking water supplies, restore biodiversity, and improve the health of freshwater ecosystems across North America and beyond.As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design & Technical Applications Engineer to develop of our engineering capability while driving the design and innovation of our next generation of water restoration technologies.This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical excellence and leadership, and who wants to help shape the future direction of a growing environmental technology company.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on engineering role that combines technical design, innovation, project leadership, field work, and people and operations management.Working alongside our experienced team, you will translate scientific understanding into practical engineering solutions. From analysing bathymetric surveys and water quality data to designing oxygenation systems and supporting field implementation, you will play a key role in delivering innovative freshwater restoration projects throughout North America.As the engineering team grows, you will play an important role in improving engineering processes, establishing design standards, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will contribute to strategic product development while helping build an engineering team capable of supporting Clean-Flo's continued expansion across North America and beyond.ResponsibilitiesEngineering Design, Technical Application, and InnovationDesign and build water oxygenation systems for lakes, reservoirs, ponds, and other freshwater environments.Analyse bathymetric surveys, water quality data, sediment characteristics, nutrient loading, and biological conditions to develop site-specific engineering solutions.Perform hydraulic modelling, fluid & air mechanics calculations, oxygen transfer analysis, equipment sizing, and mechanical system design.Develop engineering drawings, technical specifications, manufacturing documentation, and installation designs.Oversee manufacture, assembly and pre-installation testing and QA.Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of field projects.Compile technical proposals, customer presentations and project reports.Collaborate with scientists, biologists, and project managers to develop integrated water restoration solutions.Be prepared to travel in the USA and internationally.Continuously improve proprietary technologies through innovative engineering solutions.Required Qualifications & Experience·      Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred), environmental, civil, or related engineering discipline.·      More than 3 years of progressively responsible engineering experience.·      Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and have EIT Registration·      Eligibility to take PE exam within one year of starting the position·      Documentable experience applying fluid mechanics, hydraulics, mechanical system design, and process engineering.·      Experience designing hydraulic, compressed air, pumping, piping, or fluid handling systems.·      Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.·      Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.·      Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.Preferred QualificationsExperience in one or more of the following:Water treatment, environmental engineering, wastewater, stormwater, aquaculture, or ecological restoration.Compressed-air systems, pumps, blowers, process equipment, piping systems, or controls.AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GIS, bathymetric mapping, sonar, CFD modelling, data visualisation, IoT and remote monitoring, SCADA, etc.Professional Engineer (PE) registration or progress toward licensure.Experience managing engineering budgets, schedules, and technical resources.Why Join Clean-Flo?At Clean-Flo, engineering is about far more than designing equipment - it's about delivering solutions that restore freshwater ecosystems.You'll have the opportunity not only to develop innovative environmental technologies, but also to help build the engineering team that will shape the future of our company.This is an opportunity to combine engineering excellence, leadership, and environmental stewardship in a company where innovation drives everything we do.Join Our TeamIf you're an engineer who is excited by innovation, passionate about environmental sustainability, and eager to help build a growing technology company, we'd love to hear from you.Please submit your resume together with a brief cover letter outlining your leadership experience, technical expertise, and interest in joining Clean-Flo International.
