KushaMadan offers an environment where technical expertise, sustainability, and continuous improvement are valued, providing growth opportunities for engineering talent.Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work full-time in a hybrid arrangement based in Bucharest, Romania, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves designing and developing mechanical components and systems for mining-related equipment and products, using CAD tools to create detailed models, drawings, and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing engineering calculations, supporting product design reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine concepts, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and sustainability requirements. The engineer will also participate in prototype development, testing, and iteration, while documenting design changes and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and experience applying engineering principles to real-world design challenges.Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, with the ability to develop robust and reliable mechanical systems.Experience in Product Design, including concept development, optimization, and integration of mechanical components.Hands-on skills with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and creating manufacturing-ready drawings.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.Ability to interpret technical documentation, perform engineering calculations, and follow relevant standards and regulations.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn new tools and methods related to sustainable mining design.Experience in mining, heavy machinery, or industrial equipment design is an advantage.
