Mechanical Design Engineer

My client are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team, supporting the design and development of hydraulic and pneumatic systems for a range of customer applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic solutions.Produce engineering drawings using CAD software.Create and review hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.Perform basic engineering calculations to validate designs.Collaborate with engineering, workshop and operations teams to deliver successful projects.Ensure designs comply with health and safety standards and engineering best practice.About YouEssentialDegree in Mechanical or Fluid Power Engineering, or equivalent engineering experienceUnderstanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and schematics.Experience using CAD software.Ability to perform basic mechanical and hydraulic design calculations.Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.DesirableExperience using SolidWorks.Practical engineering or manufacturing experience.Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.IOSH qualification.Salary - Up to £50,000 DOE
