Ideally you should have already worked in a similar engineering setting and have good experience of Solid works and able to create 3D project design models. You will be an experienced engineer who is diligent, ambitious and have excellent communication skills with the ability to plan and execute projects in a timely manner and able to maintain adequate design records to ensure traceability. You will have experience in designing plastic enclosures for electronic products. and have the knowledge and experience of using different plastic materials such as ABS, PC, ASA, along with other materials such as rubber, and silicon material. Additionally, you should have knowledge and expertise in, Insert molding, overmolding and cables and connector assemblies. This role will complement our existing talented engineering and marketing teams, and you will be expected to provide technical support and project manage existing and new projects and designs.Responsibilities:This mechanical engineering position involves designing and drafting plastic and metal components and assemblies for RF and antenna components and products, from concept through to production. Carry out product mechanical design, from initial concept through to detail design, material selection and production drawingsFabricate and assemble prototypes as requiredTroubleshoot and analyze mechanical challengesWork with a talented and creative RF and Antenna Design team to create world-class antenna productsWork closely with suppliers to investigate challenges and recommend feasible corrective actions.Engage with customers to understand mechanical requirements & Constraints and provide suitable engineering recommendations.Qualifications/Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.2-3 years of experience in a mechanical design environmentProficiency with 3D CAD modelling software, Solidworks preferred Proficiency with 2D drawings, including critical-to-function details and tolerancingExperience with high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes, especially DFA and designing for molding and tooling.Experience with sheet metal and plastic injection molding for high-volume production and related toolingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical design problems in a systematic wayExperience of drawing and document process controlExperience in managing own work with multiple assigned projectsPrevious experience of working in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to multi-task, plan, execute and deliver on projects in a timely mannerOther Skills & Abilities include: Excellent communication skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to work on own initiativeTeam PlayerAbility to travel as and when requiredFluent in English both written and oralReporting to: Engineering Team Leader
