The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design, planning, coordination, and technical delivery of infrastructure and building-services projects, with a focus on water, wastewater, pumping systems, mechanical systems, and associated piping works.What You'll Be DoingDesign and plan mechanical systems for infrastructure, water, wastewater, sewage pumping stations, and associated facilities.Prepare mechanical layouts, equipment arrangements, piping layouts, and detailed engineering drawings.Carry out pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, pump selection, and equipment sizing.Prepare piping GA drawings, equipment layouts, piping isometrics, valve chamber drawings, and material take-offs.Design and review pumping stations, wet wells, pump rooms, utility buildings, and associated mechanical systems.Develop system curves and perform pump calculations in coordination with equipment suppliers.Prepare mechanical specifications, technical data sheets, schedules, and material requisitions.Review mechanical, process, and piping drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.Coordinate mechanical designs with civil, structural, electrical, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and equipment proposals.Assist with tender evaluations, technical queries, equipment comparisons, and preparation of technical reports.Review testing and commissioning procedures and assist in resolving technical issues during project execution.Review operation and maintenance manuals and ensure compliance with project requirements.Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and installation activities.Identify design improvements and recommend modifications to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other consultants as required.Support project teams in meeting design schedules, quality requirements, and technical deliverables.What You'll BringBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.3–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and consultancy within the UAE.Strong experience in mechanical systems, piping, pumping stations, water/wastewater systems, or infrastructure projects.Good knowledge of UAE engineering practices, standards, authority requirements, and applicable international standards.Experience in preparing and reviewing mechanical design drawings and technical documentation.Knowledge of pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, pump selection, and mechanical equipment sizing.Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in relevant engineering design software.Desired SkillsExperience with AutoCAD and Revit.Experience with hydraulic calculation and pipe-sizing software.Knowledge of HVAC and ventilation design is an advantage.Experience with pumping station and wet-well design is preferred.Experience with mechanical equipment selection and technical submittal review.UAE consultancy experience is highly preferred.Candidates with relevant GCC experience are also welcome to apply.What We OfferCompetitive salary package based on qualifications and experience.Annual leave in accordance with UAE Labour Law and company policy.Company-sponsored UAE employment visa/work visa, subject to applicable requirements.Opportunity to work with a growing engineering consultancy in Dubai.Professional development and exposure to a variety of engineering projects.How to ApplyInterested candidates who meet the above requirements are invited to send their updated CV to Anju@tec.ae with the subject line:Application – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
