The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing and developing complex mechanical systems, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. You will also be responsible for applying knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment where you can make a significant impact.
Responsibilities
Apply engineering principles and techniques to design mechanical systems and products. Develop and test prototypes of designed mechanical components. Analyze mechanical systems, including Finite Element Analysis for structural, thermo-dynamic, and mechanical situations. Develop and design calculation tools for the Engineering Group. Ensure all designs meet required safety standards and comply with all relevant building codes. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Active Professional Engineering License. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering. Advanced understanding of building codes and standards. Proficiency in all Design Software (i.e. CADD, Calculation Software, etc.). Excellent analytical and technical writing skills. Understanding of all MEP calculations and design. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and design techniques plus understanding of all engineering disciplines. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Proven track record of managing projects to successful completion, demonstrating exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
