A multidisciplinary team of engineers and project specialists delivers customized, end-to-end solutions, supporting new builds, refurbishments, and system upgrades.Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ajman Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The person in this role will design and develop mechanical components and systems for storage tank equipment, including roofs, seals, valves, and associated assemblies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as API 650. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating detailed CAD models and drawings, performing mechanical calculations, and collaborating with engineering, production, and project teams to translate client and project requirements into practical, manufacturable designs. The role involves reviewing specifications, supporting customization for specific projects, preparing technical documentation and bills of materials, and participating in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. The Mechanical Design Engineer may also provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and after-sales service to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.QualificationsStrong background in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in design engineering and machine design.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and methods, with the ability to create detailed 2D/3D models and production-ready drawings.Experience in product design for industrial or process equipment, ideally related to storage tanks or fluid handling systems.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Knowledge of relevant international standards and codes (e.g., API 650) and basic understanding of structural and mechanical calculations.Ability to work on-site in Ajman Emirate, United Arab Emirates, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Good communication skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical sectors and familiarity with fabrication processes are advantageous.
