We look forward to hearing from you!Career Progression:Mechanical Drafter → Jr. Project Engineer → Project Engineer → Sr. Project EngineerJob Summary:3D modeling using SolidWorks, while progressively taking on project engineering responsibilities. The position is intended to develop the candidate's technical, coordination, and project management capabilities, with the expectation of transitioning into a Project Engineer role as experience and competency are demonstrated.Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Design & Drafting:Develop 3D mechanical models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.Prepare GA, P&ID, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.Develop BOMs, material specifications, and engineering documentation.Incorporate engineering revisions and client comments into drawings.Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and compliant with project requirements..Project Engineering DevelopmentSupport Project Engineers in managing engineering deliverables, schedules, and technical documentation.Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Procurement, and Fabrication teams.Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and fabrication documents.Participate in project meetings and technical discussions with internal teams, vendors, and clients.Track engineering actions, RFIs, submittals, and design changes.Assist in preparing technical submittals, calculations, reports, and project documentation.Develop an understanding of project scope, cost, schedule, procurement, fabrication, and installation requirements.Progressively take ownership of assigned project deliverables and technical packages.Future Project Engineer Responsibilities:As competency is demonstrated, the employee will progressively assume responsibility for:Managing assigned engineering work packages from design through fabrication and delivery.Coordinating project activities with internal departments, vendors, and clients.Monitoring project schedules and engineering deliverables.Managing RFIs, technical clarifications, and design changes.Supporting procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.Identifying technical risks and supporting appropriate mitigation measures.Taking ownership of project deliverables and assisting with overall project execution.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related engineering field.2–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, design, engineering, or a related field.Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, configurations, and detailed drawings.Demonstrate familiarity with design requirements and their application to FRP equipment design and verification.Good understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, fabrication, welding, materials, and dimensional tolerances.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documents. Handling and driving projects from previous experience.Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Project teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Experience in wastewater treatment, odor control, HVAC, process equipment, FRP equipment, ductwork, vessels, pumps, blowers, or industrial equipment is an advantage.Knowledge of structural FEA analysis and flow simulation CFD analysis is an added advantage.
