Main Purpose of the Job : To manage and coordinate the operation, maintenance, inspection, and performance of all mechanical systems across assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and uninterrupted healthcare operations. The Mechanical Engineer will support asset lifecycle management, contractor supervision, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with One Health standards.Areas of Responsibility: Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for all mechanical systems.Ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, plumbing, medical gas systems, fire protection systems, pumps, and associated mechanical infrastructure.Conduct engineering inspections, equipment condition assessments, and asset performance evaluations.Investigate equipment failures, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.Review maintenance records, analyze equipment performance trends, and recommend system improvements.Supervise contractors and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.Ensure work orders are completed within agreed service levels through the CAFM/CMMS system.Support capital replacement planning, lifecycle asset management, and engineering projects.Coordinate with Operations, Biomedical Engineering, Projects, and HSEQ teams to maintain uninterrupted healthcare services.Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, engineering documentation, and monthly performance reports.Participate in emergency response activities and provide technical support during critical system failures.Promote energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement across all mechanical systemsQualification and Experience Required :Minimum 5 years in Facilities Management or Healthcare Engineering.Experience maintaining hospitals or large commercial facilities.Strong experience in HVAC systems, chilled water plants, plumbing, medical gases, pumps, and fire protection systems.Experience working with CAFM/CMMS platforms.GCC experience is preferred.
